The Middle East Coatings Show 2021, Saudi Arabia website is under construction and new information is being added all the time. If you can not find what you are looking for, please contact the team (use the Contact tab at the top of the website).
Exciting news, the MECS portfolio team are delighted to not only announce the new MECS format (see Press Release) but also the news that we are expanding the portfolio, based on our customers feedback, and are launching a new event, MECS 2021, Saudi Arabia, which will be held in Jeddah on 27-27 September.
The MECS branded events are the largest dedicated coatings events in the Middle East and Gulf Region and attract around 5000 total attendance to the flagship show which takes place in Dubai.
Saudi Arabia’s paint and varnish production is one of the bright spots in the GCC paint sector – it grew from US$672.3M in 2018, to US$701.3M in 2019, and is forecast to reach US$729.4M in 2020. The forecast spike in sales is attributed to Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 policy of economic diversification, which involves the development of some 80 commercial and infrastructure projects valued at US$1.4trn. One project is the US$500bn Neom high-tech residential and tourist ‘smart city’ bordering Jordan and Egypt on the Red Sea. Paint manufacturers are still awaiting tenders.
The next MECS will take place on 09-11, March 2020 in Dubai at the DWTC. Following that, it will be MECS Cairo 2021 (05-07 April), MECS Saudi Arabia 2021 (27-29 September) and then back to MECS Dubai in 2022.
